In operation since 1895, Child & Family Guidance Center is a provider of community-based outpatient mental health services. It offers individual and family counseling services to people with various personal problems and mental and emotional disorders, including depression, stress, fear, marital problems, hyperactivity, autism, disruptive behaviors, substance abuse and traumas. The center operates several family support organizations that offer stress management, communication, relationship management and parenting skills developmental services. In addition, the center provides nutritional management, family therapies and other programs to serve a variety of eating disorders. Child & Family Guidance Center also offers a healing program to serve the victims of physical and sexual abuse. It is located in Tacoma, Wash.
