Dr. Richard Horacek's interest in dentistry began when he had a remarkable childhood dentist. He played basketball for Western New Mexico University and completed his undergraduate degree at the University of New Mexico. He studied dentistry at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska where he graduated with honors. He was awarded an Air Force Health Professions Scholarship at Creighton. After dental school he served three years in the Air Force, where he was awarded Officer of the Year in 2005, and received advanced training in all specialties of dentistry. With the extensive education while in the Air Force he is able to treat many conditions in the office.
Dr. Horacek is a member of the American Dental Association, the Oregon Dental Association, the Multnomah Dental Society, and volunteers for Give Kids a Smile. When not practicing dentistry he enjoys cycling, skiing and spending time with his wife Courtney, and their three children.
