ABOUT THE FOUNDERS Father and son team, John and Nick Cocalis, embarked on a business project in early 2004. John was feeling a little restless in his semi-retired role, and Nick was looking to make a move into restaurant management. After talking about their personal goals, they were on a mission to find a totally unique restaurant and give it their personal Cocalis touch. Although a fire temporarily suspended this favorite Lakeview eatery, John and Nick are back with even more dedication to reintroduce Horizon Caf to the community. We strive to consistently challenge ourselves to make Horizon Caf the best little neighborhood restaurant in Chicago. Our goal is to always upgrade our level of creativity through quality service and delicious food at reasonable prices. We believe that the dining experience is all about our customers so that they can relax or engage in a stimulating conversation with their friends. Whatever the mood, our dedication is to make sure that our customers leave with a happy and satisfied experience regarding Horizon Caf.
