Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island provides services to children and adults facing advanced stages of any terminal illness, such as cancer, AIDS and Alzheimer s disease, as well as heart and lung diseases. It offers services in homes, nursing homes, hospitals, assisted living facilities and at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center. Its services are available 24 hours, seven days a week. Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island also conducts the bereavement program, which is designed for individuals who have experienced a loss. The program offers group, individual and family counseling and various support services for up to a year. The center, located in Pawtucket, R.I., is licensed by the Department of Health and certified by Medicare to provide home health and hospice services in the community. It is also accredited by the Community Health Accreditation Program.
