Hospice of Charleston is a nonprofit community organization located in North Charleston, S.C. Founded in 1980, the community s staff includes nurses, home health aides, social workers and chaplains. It offers 24-hour medication for pain relief and symptom management. The community also provides physical, occupational, speech and massage therapies. It additionally offers nutritional counseling, home health aide and homemaker services for personal care. The community s Kids Path program provides a range of home-based nursing and support for children with serious and life-threatening illnesses. It is a provider of various insurance plans, such as Companion Healthcare, HMO Blue, Healthsource, Physician's Health Plan and Tri-Care.
