Experienced reading specialist available for after-school tutoring with young readers. Individualized, phonics-based lessons, with practice books going home. Owner and experienced reading teacher Jane MacQueen, M.A., tutors students who are struggling, who wish to get a head start in reading, or who want to boost their existing skills. After testing the child, Jane MacQueen customizes her lessons to suit your child's unique strengths and weaknesses. Ms. MacQueen has taught first grade and is Orton-Gillingham trained. She later became a Title 1 reading teacher, Kindergarten through 4th grade. She was a presenter at the 1st Annual Michigan Reading First Conference in Detroit. Since retiring from the public schools in 2006, she has been tutoring students in her home in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
