Founded in 1987, the George R. Brown Convention Center is one of the largest convention centers in North America with nearly 1.2 million square feet of exhibition, meeting and registration space. It is connected to the 1,200-room Hilton Americas-Houston hotel with a doubledeck pedestrian sky bridge. The center features a full-service kitchen and a more than 240-seat cafe. The George R. Brown Convention Center also offers themed food stations and bars throughout the facility to meet the needs of clients. The center partners with various companies to offer production, booth cleaning and telecommunication services. It is managed by the City of Houston's Convention & Entertainment Facilities Department.
