Illinois Club for Catholic Women is a 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) not-for-profit corporation that supplies compassionate service and relief to the poor, the distressed and the underprivileged in the Chicago Metropolitan area, and to inspire women of all ages to sustain its long tradition of charitable social service. Its mission is accomplished primarily through the annual Presentation Ball, the forum at which over 1, 000 young ladies have been welcomed by family, friends and the Catholic community into a world of civic responsibility and awareness. The Corporation is organized and shall be operated exclusively for charitable purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 ( the Code ), or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
