Founded in 1980, The Independent School is a prekindergarten through 12th grade school. Based in Wichita, Kan., it is an accredited member of the Independent School Association of the Central States (ISACS) and the North Central Association (NCA). The school offers college preparatory courses in subjects, such as mathematics, physical education, American literature, world history, astronomy, Spanish and more. Its athletic program covers numerous sports, including baseball, basketball, football, soccer, softball, tennis, golf, swimming and volleyball.
