Established in 1879, Indiana University School of Dentistry is one of the oldest dental schools in the United States. The school has an annual enrollment of more than 650 students and it offers over five types of degree and certificate programs in dental assisting, dental hygiene and graduate dentistry. In addition, it offers certificates and degrees in allied dental programs. The school has a staff of approximately 200 full- and part-time faculty members. It operates a variety of departments, including endodontics, oral facial development, preventive and community dentistry, and oral and maxillofacial surgery residency. Indiana University School of Dentistry is located in Indianapolis.
