The InterAgency Council of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities Agencies, also known as IAC, is a nonprofit agency that provides services to more than 75,000 individuals with mental and developmental disabilities. It works with a network of over 120 member agencies that serves Rockland, Westchester, Nassau and Suffolk counties in New York. The organization operates nearly 900 programs for infants, children and adults. The InterAgency Council of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities Agencies provides residential, adult day care, and child and family support services. It also offers clinical and health care services. The council additionally administers various job training programs. The InterAgency Council of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities Agencies training institute offers the English as a Second Language program.
