The Iowa Heart Center is one of the premier cardiovascular medicine practices in the United States. The center offers a range of treatment options, clinical research and prevention services. It employs more than 60 cardiologists and surgeons who specialize in heart care and perform over 10,000 cardiac interventions annually. It also offers vascular screening, electrophysiology, laser therapy, dialysis access, thoracic outlet surgery, vertebral artery reconstruction and angioplasty services. The Iowa Heart Center has been operational since 1970 and maintains a location in Des Moines, Iowa.
