The J. C. Lewis Health Center is a 30-plus bed, federally accredited health care system that offers a variety of respite care services. The center serves homeless individuals through primary care services. It provides medical planning and prevention and medication assistance services. The J. C. Lewis Health Center operates a 24-bed respite care facility that offers medical monitoring, transitional planning, economic education, and shelter and housing referral services. The center additionally provides case management, nutritional education care and transportation services. It is a part of Union Mission, which provides short- and long-term housing assistance programs for men, women and families.
