Village - Current Phase
Jacob's Village is being established in phases. The initial segment of Phase I opened for occupancy in 2004, when we welcomed our first 5 residents. Currently our community includes 3 buildings, with more to follow as demand warrants and funding allows
Our community is being developed as a small neighborhood of 6 homes and a community center. Each home provides modern, comfortable, family-like accommodations and supports 4 residents. A live-in coordinator oversees each home. Our residents have private bedrooms, semi-private bathrooms, and shared community living space that includes a kitchen, dining room and living room
A centrally located community center will serve as an area where residents enjoy enrichment, recreational and social activities, devotional services and, occasionally, share meals together.
Although walking trails and more landscaping are planned, our current grounds have already earned acclaim. In 2005, Jacob's Village won first p lace among nonprofit facilities in Evansville's annual citywide landscape-judging contest. The Village's intention is to provide an attractive, inviting home for its residents. Obviously, our efforts toward achieving that objective are well underway!
