James F. Doughty School, founded in 1940, serves more than 525 students and offers educational programs for students from grades six through eight. Its curriculum includes arithmetic, algebra, English, science and history. It also offers foreign language study, including Chinese, Spanish and French. It provides extracurricular activities, such as physical education and a broad range of sports for boys and girls, including cross-country, field hockey, football, soccer, cheering, swimming, hockey, basketball, track, tennis, softball, baseball and golf. It also offers music, drama and art classes. The academic program includes technological, space and international studies. James F.
