Japanese Auto Masters, as the name implies, is all about the service and repair of Japanese and Asian automobiles. The company was founded in 1982, and is still operated by its President, Tom Potter, a lifelong resident of Virginia Beach. Tom originated the business to address the needs of motorists driving Japanese-made vehicles, at a time when most service centers were geared only toward the repair and the maintenance of domestic vehicles. The only option available for the repair of Japanese automobiles at that time was at the dealership.

With this in mind, Tom set out about creating one of the premier independent full-service shops catering to the owners of Japanese and Asian-made vehicles right here in Virginia Beach. In the years that followed, Japanese Auto Masters has raised the standards of service in the industry with cutting edge business practices that cater to the customer.
