A dedicated Physician for over 32 years, Dr. Olsson has practiced in Melbourne, FL, for 22 years. He is dedicated to providing comprehensive, individualized and caring treatment to those in need. Dr Olsson believes in an interdisciplinary approach to rehabilitation and pain management, and incorporates the patient and family into the treatment plan. After graduating from Kansas City University - College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1977, Dr. Olsson completed a Rotating Internship at Fort Worth Osteopathic Hospital. From there he served in the U.S. Navy until 1983 when he initiated his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Emory University Medical Center, in Atlanta, GA, where he also received his education in the treatment of Traumatic Brain Injury, Pain Management, and EMG evaluation. He has been a Professor in the Department of PM&R at Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in Miami Beach, FL, educating students in the treatment of patients with Traumatic Brain Injuries.
He is Board Certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Osteopathic Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the American Board of Pain Medicine. He has served as President of the American Osteopathic Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is serving as the Trustee of District 16 to the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association. He continues to serve as a Board Examiner for the American Osteopathic Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
