Jefferson County Board of Education offers education to students in grades kindergarten through 12. It operates more than 50 elementary, middle and high schools, and has an enrollment of over 35,000 students. The district s curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, mathematics, foreign languages, language arts, reading and writing, science, social studies, physical education and vocational agriculture.
