The Community/Adult Education Department of the Jefferson Parish Public School System provides before- and after-child care services. The department organizes field trips and a tuition-based summer camp program for students in its elementary schools. The camp also offers a range of structured indoor and outside games, as well as water and arts and craft activities. The Community/Adult Education Department provides the Driver Education Program for students in various public, private and parochial schools. In addition, the department offers evening enrichment classes. It hosts English language classes for non-English speakers. The Community/Adult Education Department also provides assistance with the development of computer literacy, job retention and resume writing skills.
