The United Jewish Federation of San Diego County identifies and funds social service, educational and humanitarian needs of Jews in Israel and worldwide. The federation helps in alleviating Jewish poverty by providing emergency services. Its women s division participates in various mitzvah projects and has distributed over 75 Chanukah boxes to families in need in San Diego. The United Jewish Federation of San Diego County supports five Jewish day schools for students in kindergarten through grade 12. Its community center provides various social, cultural, educational and recreational programs to individuals and families of all ages. The organization provides food, refuge, health care and social services, cultural programs and emergency assistance to San Diegans and millions of Jews worldwide.
