Greene Haven is a 120-bed, nonprofit nursing facility. Founded in 1980, the center provides assistance with personal hygiene, feeding and dressing, mobility and flexibility, basic first aid, emergency protocol, recording of vital signs and everyday routine services. It employs registered and licensed practical nursing staff, physicians and medical attendants. It offers its residents with recreational, social and therapeutic activities, including field trips and special event celebrations. It also offers customized social activities and accommodates special dietary requirements to meet individual needs. Greene Haven, located in Springfield, Mo., also operates an Alzheimer care department, which is a 15-bed, locked unit that serves individuals who are suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
