Dr. Lerner was born in Houston on February 7, 1955. His parents, Bennie and Bella, were also native Houstonians. He graduated from high school in Houston in 1973, and went on to attend the University of Texas in Austin, TX. Dr. Lerner graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry, and was licensed in 1980.
In 1984 he purchased the current office in Katy Texas, converting it to the private Optometric Practice that you now know as Katy Vision Center.
In 1993 Dr. Lerner successfully completed a course in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease, and was licensed by the Texas Board of Optometry as a Therapeutic Optometrist. He has now been practicing Family Optometry, with an emphasis in external eye disease and contact lenses, at Katy Vision Center for over 30 years.
