Keep Denver Beautiful is a summer cleanup and community beautification program that focuses on the elimination of trash, litter, junk and graffiti from local neighborhoods. It supports area residents and businesses for maintaining an attractive urban environment. Keep Denver Beautiful sponsors an annual poster making and essay writing contest that is open for children in grades three through eight. With an office location in Denver, it includes Adopt-A-Spot, which is a program that provides opportunities to pickup litter; remove illegal signs; and report graffiti to individuals and groups for a particular assigned area. The program is a part of Solid Waste Management, a division of the Denver Public Works department that collects trash and offers materials recycling services.
