Established in 1961, Keiro Senior HealthCare is one of the largest health care providers serving the Japanese-American community in the United States. It has served more than 55,000 senior citizens. The organization operates various health care and assisted living facilities, including Keiro Nursing Home, South Bay Keiro Nursing Home, Keiro Intermediate Care Facility and Keiro Retirement Home. It has also provided education and resources to over 4,500 caregivers through the Institute for Healthy Aging at Keiro. The organization offers residential, intermediate, skilled nursing and rehabilitation care services. In addition, it maintains a staff of nearly 650 volunteers, as well as provides services to individuals suffering with Alzheimer s disease and dementia.
