Founded in 1896, Kingsley House serves the children and families of New Orleans. Its nationally accredited, historic Preschool and Early Head Start programs provide academic and social enrichment activities, along with essential health and supportive services for children and their families. Its adult services program offers recreational and socialization activities, and provides two nutritious meals and a snack each day. It offers free medical services in partnership with The Children's Health Fund and Tulane University School of Medicine. Its counseling services include family therapy, conflict resolution, communication skills, resource coordination, life management skills, advocacy and parenting skills. Its full-day camp activities include indoor and outdoor sports and recreation, drama, arts and crafts, swimming, individual and group counseling, academic enrichment, computer literacy and drug and violence prevention education.
