The Manhattan Psychiatric Center offers inpatient and outpatient treatment for people who suffer from developmental disabilities. The center provides medication, mental illness education and symptom management training services. The Manhattan Psychiatric Center offers crisis intervention, monitoring, case management and substance abuse counseling services. It provides intensive case management, 24-hour emergency and transitional residence solutions. The center also offers anger management services, as well as features a treatment refractory ward. The Manhattan Psychiatric Center is a part of the Office of Mental Health, which regulates, certifies and oversees more than 2,500 health care programs that are operated by local government and nonprofit agencies.
