Chartered in 1865, The Kirkwood School District is one of the oldest school districts in St. Louis County. Based in Kirkwood, Mo., the district serves eight suburban communities, including Des Peres, Glendale, Oakland and Kirkwood. It comprises five elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school. The Kirkwood School District consists of a range of schools, including Keysor Elementary School, Kirkwood Early Childhood Center (KECC), Nipher Middle School, Tillman Elementary School and North Kirkwood Middle School.
