KPMG is the United States division of KPMG International, which is considered one of the big four audit, tax advisory firms in the world. KPMG offers its audit and risk advisory services and tax services in five separate business sectors: financial services, such as banking, insurance and real estate; information, communications and entertainment; industrial markets, such as automotive, chemicals and utilities; consumer and retail markets; and the public sector, including government, education and nonprofit organizations. KPMG employs approximately 11,500 people and has 90-plus offices throughout the country, including one in Birmingham, Ala. Its headquarters are located in New York.
