Founded in 1959 as a small full-service gas station, Kum & Go offers various programs for shopping convenience. The company has become a chain of more than 450 retail stores throughout the United States. Kum & Go began operations with the convenience store concept in 1963 by converting a gas station into a station store and offering fuel and merchandise together. The company entered into a business partnership with CENEX Energy and assumed the primary role of managing more than 35 CENEX stores in South Dakota, Montana, Minnesota, Iowa and Wyoming as dual-branded store units. CSP magazine rated it as one of top convenience stores for customer service in 2006. In addition, the company received the Outstanding Corporate Philanthropy Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
