Established in 1972, La Causa is one of the leading bilingual, multicultural child care organizations in Wisconsin that provides child abuse prevention, social and educational services for children in kindergarten through grade eight. It operates a 24-hour crisis nursery and foster care and family resource centers that is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. La Causa offers supervised family visitation, case management and safety evaluation services. It also provides life skills development training, as well as respite care, adult enrichment and family involvement programs. Located in Milwaukee, La Causa serves more than 9,000 families and children through over 400 employees.
