Founded in 1993, Lakeshore Elementary School is a part of West Ottawa Public Schools. The school provides general academic programs to more than 400 students in kindergarten through grade five. It conducts classes in language arts, math, science and social studies. It offers a range of activities that includes art, music, and physical and technical education. Lakeshore Elementary School offers English as a Second Language, early childhood special education and accelerated reader programs. The school has a parent-teacher organization that conducts various fundraising activities, including carnivals, book fairs and fall festivals. It organizes field trips to several educational and cultural destinations in the community. In addition, it offers a foreign language course in Spanish. The school provides food, guidance counseling and health care. Located in Holland, Mich., Lakeshore Elementary School is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
