Language Bank is a part of Tacoma Community House, which is a nonprofit organization that provides educational, advocacy and employment services for refugees, immigrants, and English-speaking adults and youths. Located in Tacoma, Wash., Tacoma Community House works in partnership with several businesses, organizations, medical institutions, schools, universities and government agencies. Language Bank offers state-certified interpreters for face-to-face communications. The organization provides interpretation and written translation services. Its staff includes interpreters of various languages, inclduing French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Russian.. The organization translates a variety of materials from English to other languages. It provides documents through fax and e-mail, as well as notary public services. Language Bank offers newsletters, brochures, signage, Web sites, letters, forms, legal documents and personnel manuals.
