Established in 1983, Las Familias is one of the leading nonprofit outpatient treatment centers specializing in childhood sexual abuse treatment in the city of Tucson and Pima County, Ariz. Its programs focus on long-term treatment for children. The center is a member of the Arizona's Children Association, which is one of the largest nonprofit agencies in Arizona to offer foster care, adoption, behavioral health, prevention programs and child welfare services. Las Familias children s program utilizes a combination of individual, family and group therapies along with therapeutic recreation to relearn critical social skills. The center s treatments include team sports, board games, and therapeutic dance and movement.
