Champps Entertainment is the parent company to more than 60 upscale casual dining restaurants in 23 states in the United States. The company owns and operates 53 restaurants in 19 states under the names Champps Americana, Champps Restaurant and Champps Restaurant and Bar. It also has 12 additional restaurants that operate under franchise or license agreements in five states. The restaurants typically offer a large selection of appetizers, as well as main plate salads, high-end sandwiches, specialty burgers and wraps and entr e selections, along with additional regularly changing specials. The original Champps concept began operations in 1984 and maintains headquarters in Littleton, Colo. Its shares trade on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol CMPP.
