Established in 1961 as the Tualatin Valley Child Guidance Center, LifeWorks NW is a community-based, nonprofit organization that offers prevention, mental health care and addiction recovery services. It provides a range of preventive programs that focuses on substance abuse, teen pregnancy and juvenile crime preclusion services, and life and parenting skills development training. The organization offers medical assistance with issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, Alzheimer s disease, adolescence, parenting difficulties and family-related problems. It also provides behavioral counseling, alcohol and drug abuse treatment and prevention outreach services for adult and senior citizens.
