International Logistics is a subsidiary of one of the United States oldest and largest stevedoring and maritime-related firms, Cooper/T. Smith Corporation, which maintains operations on three U.S. coasts, including nearly 40 ports, as well as in Venezuela, Brazil, Colombia, Canada and Mexico. The corporation owns a variety of subsidiaries, including warehouses, insurance firms, terminal operations, tugboats, push boats, barges and floating terminals whose services are used by clients in the agricultural, energy, chemical and construction industries. The corporation was founded by Angus Royal Cooper in 1905. Its subsidiaries include American Equity Underwriters, Cooper Marine & Timberlands, Crescent Towing, CT Stevedoring, Darrow Fleeting and Switching, GETCO, International Logistics, Plimsoll Marine and Seamarine Warehouse. International Logistics maintains a location in New Orleans.
