LKM is a group of bright and bold individuals who work for open communications, effective ideas for our clients and deep connections with customers. Let's begin.
Communication is difficult.
In a world where connectivity is an inescapable fact, how can this be? This paradox rests on two truths. Often, preconceptions and even language are barriers to meaning. Secondly, the daily torrent of information overwhelms the mind and drives us to trust the older and surer emotional centers of our being.
Provide two or more people a common language and in almost no time they will share ideas beyond the predetermined axis and work to give greater meaning to information.
Creativity from the hip is ubiquitous in a go-go society. But too much effort is spent retaking the same ground with each other because insufficient effort was spent being clear about goals and assuring empathy is in place. Without empathy, effectiveness is diminished.
Purging “consumer” and “audience” from our thinking is essential if we are to make meaning in a collaborative society where any worthy idea may be extended and used by others in enriching ways. If an idea is of value then others do not wish to witness it from the bleachers, but engage with it, use it for their own purposes. Share it. Pass it on.
This is both heart and soul of emotional branding, for it is then apparent that people are the most important medium.
Embrace this idea, and possibilities bloom. Not only in the traditional forms and disciplines of communications, but in any human event or cultural artifact which carries the potential for interaction.
