The Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center New Orleans, also known as LSU Health Sciences Center, is a worldwide teaching, research and health care facility. The center is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It offers a range of bachelor's, masters and associate degree programs. The Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center New Orleans also coordinates doctoral degree and post-baccalaureate certificate programs. The center operates several schools and centers of excellence, including the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans and the Center for Molecular and Human Genetics. It coordinates various residency programs in obstetrics and emergency, internal, geriatric and family medicine. The Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center New Orleans is a member of the Association of Academic Health Centers.
