Lyngblomsten Care Center

Founded by Anna Fergstad, Lyngblomsten is one of the oldest providers of senior health care services in the United States. A Catholic organization, it has been operational for more than 65 years. Affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the organization s partner congregations include Brooklyn United Methodist Church, Calvary Lutheran Church, Cathedral of Saint Paul, and Centennial United Methodist Church. Lyngblomsten features 24-hour skilled nursing home, Lokensgard transitional care center, Swedish-style service houses, gift and coffee shop, community center, and beauty salon and barbershop. The organization offers a wide variety of services, such as treatments for Alzheimer's disease and dementia; physical, occupational and speech therapies; audiology and dental solutions; and Chapel and worship services. It also offers several recreational activities, including card sessions, bingo, movies, walking club, day trips, extended travel, reading seminars, news and baking groups, monthly concerts, and exercise and yoga classes.
