Established in 1951, Lynn/Urquides Elementary School serves more than 950 students in pre-kindergarten through grade five. The school conducts classes in GED, as well as offers English as a Second Language program. Lynn/Urquides Elementary School, a part of the Tucson Unified School District, also coordinates a Title I program. Its student council organizes various community service projects. The school offers the Opening Minds Through the Arts (OMA) program, which supports student achievement in reading, writing, math and social studies through an arts-integrated curriculum. The Tucson Unified School District administers various elementary, middle, high, magnet, and alternative and exceptional education schools.
