Lynnhaven Middle School, located in Virginia Beach, Va., is part of the Virginia Beach City Public School District. Founded in 1974, it offers classes to students in grades six through eight and has an enrollment of more than 1,200 students. It provides an educational environment where students can discover and use their full potential and offers an extensive range of exploratory courses to complement core area instruction in English, math, science and social studies. Community service projects are part of each grade. All students are invited to take part in the school newspaper and student council. Lynnhaven Middle School offers a variety of sports, including football, basketball, track and swimming.
