Started in 1890, Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital is a 292- bed specialty hospital that was established to provide special care to its patients. Located in Baltimore, its services include ventilator care, wound management, air fluidized bed therapy, pain management, terminal care, coma stimulation program and psychiatric rehabilitation services. Additionally, the hospital provides adult day services for individuals with special medical needs, such as diabetes, hypertension and post-stroke disabilities, dementia, confusion and Alzheimer's disease. The services also include kosher meals and transportation. Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital is accredited by Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
