Established in 1978, the Maranatha Christian Academy is a private, Christian school that serves students in prekindergarten through grade 12. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as fine arts, biology, calculus, American history, literature and composition and technology. The academy provides more than 10 athletic programs, including soccer, cross-country, basketball, baseball, golf, and track and field. The Maranatha Christian Academy is a member of the Minnesota State High School League and the Minnesota Christian Athletic Association Conference. It additionally organizes several field trips and outings for students. The Maranatha Christian Academy maintains a location in Brooklyn Park, Minn., and is a ministry of the Living Word Christian Center.
