Founded in 1891, Cusack Care Center is a 139-bed skilled nursing facility housed in the historic St. Joseph's Home for the Blind in the heart of Jersey City. Primarily providing care to the blind and elderly, it also offers a wide range of services, such as acute short-term care, dementia care and rehabilitation services. The center functions through various departments, including environmental sciences, food services, maintenance and nursing. Its clinical activities constitute physical, occupational and speech therapies, IV antibiotics, pain management and wound care. Additionally, the center holds family events, such as holiday parties, monthly birthday parties, special outings and seasonal events for its residents.
