The Maricopa County Adult Probation Department monitors offenders, as well as provides field supervision services. Located in Phoenix, the department offers motivational enhancement and treatment services related to substance abuse. It also provides financial management and counseling services. The Maricopa County Adult Probation Department administers the Community Restitution Program, which includes more than 6,000 individuals on probation who provide landscaping, painting, plumbing, carpentry and office work services. In addition, the department maintains the Assessment and Referral Center, also known as ARC, which provides screening and assessment services for individuals on probation to determine risk level. The Maricopa County Adult Probation Department offers individual protection services.
