Maricopa County Attorney's- Pretrial Division is comprised of check enforcement, preliminary hearing and the charging bureaus. It is located in Phoenix. It provides legal assistance to county grand juries, runs the adult prosecution program, prosecutes bad check writers and reviews general crime police reports. The office has more than 15 specialized bureaus, with over 900 attorneys, investigators, administrators, paralegals, victim advocates and support staff. Additionally, it implements, promotes and participates in programs that reduce crime and enhance the quality of community life. It provides complete legal services to the county, its officers and political subdivisions.
