Established in 1959, McClelland Elementary School enrolls more than 600 students in kindergarten through grade six. The school s academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as English, mathematics, social studies, art, music, science and physical education. It has a parent-teacher association that organizes various fundraising programs. The school s campus includes a multipurpose gymnasium, auditorium, computer and science laboratories, media center with video production laboratory, and art and music rooms. It additionally offers various athletic activities, such as basketball and cheerleading. The school also offers a range of extracurricular activities, including spelling bee, geography bee, Dinner with Santa, family math and Destination ImagiNation. McClelland Elementary School is located in Indianapolis and is administered by the Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township.
