Dr. McManigal was born and raised in Eastern Nebraska and graduated from Tekamah-Herman High School. He enlisted in the United States Air Force where he specialized in medical laboratory sciences and in cytopathology. The Air Force recognized him with numerous awards throughout his career, including the Air Combat Command's Senior Medical Laboratory Technician of the year in 1999. He was stationed at Travis Air Force Base, but spent 16 of his 20 years at Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, Nebraska. Dr. McManigal and his family now make their home in Omaha, Nebraska.
Dr. McManigal graduated from the Creighton University School of Dentistry with awards in Oral Maxillofacial Pathology and Oral Equilibration. He became Board Certified in General Dentistry and is licensed in both Nebraska and Iowa.
Immediately following graduation, Dr. McManigal joined the Midlands Dental Group in providing preventative and therapeutic care for a wide range of dental problems, primarily at the Group's Missouri Valley, Iowa, and Woodbine, Iowa clinics.
