The Food Products Association is the word s largest trade association serving the food and beverage industry. The organization s Washington, D.C. and Seattle laboratories provide technical and regulatory assistance to member companies and represent the food industry on scientific and public policy issues that involve food safety, food security, nutrition, consumer affairs and international trade. The FPA s members operate in the processed and packaged fruits and vegetables, meat and poultry, seafood, cereals, dairy products, juice and snack food industries. They include such companies as The Coca-Cola Company, ConAgra Foods, The Dannon Company, E&J Gallo Company and Pepperidge Farm Incorporated. The association was first formed in 1907 as the National Canners Association.
