Byrd Middle School serves students of grades six through eight. It has various academic departments, such as mathematics, science, English, social studies, exploratory, special education, and gifted and talented program. The school s library offers a wide collection of books, articles and magazines on several topics, including multicultural, biography, history, literature, science and technology. The school s extracurricular activities include essay contests, musical contests, academic contests, and programs organized through clubs and organizations. It additionally has a student council, book fair, academic team, and builders and chess clubs for students.
